Within the Enza Zaden organization, Germany is the breeding specialist in radish, corn salad and herbs. The breeding programmes of Juliwa Markensaat already excelled in these crops. For that reason we have worked closely together with this company for years. It was also the reason to, in 2001, take over all vegetable breeding and sales activities of the company. By doing so, Enza Zaden gained years of experience, knowledge and successful product programmes.

Experience

The programmes of Enza Zaden Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, the company name since 2004, are still a great success, also outside Germany. Our corn salad varieties, for example, are well known in the important cultivation areas in France, and our radish varieties have grown to become standard varieties in Italy and the UK.

Well-defined aims, experience and extensive breeding programmes are the basis of this success. Moreover, our modern breeding station is ideally situated in the Pfalz, right in the heart of the largest vegetable growing area in Germany. We therefore know the growers and we maintain close contacts with them. Due to this close grower proximity, we are in the position to accurately and purposively judge our varieties and quickly introduce them.

Motivated

Our motivated, very experienced sales team also greatly influences the success of this German establishment. Besides the German market, we focus on the Swiss, Austrian and Czech market. Extra added value in all of this is our cooperation with Vitalis Biologische Zaden B.V. www.biovitalis.eu , enabling us to supplement our assortment of conventional seed with organic seed in almost all our crops.
