Early Short Day, yellow skinned onion. This variety has large, globe-shaped, highly single centred bulbs with good skin retention and excellent yield potential. Samurai has partial resistance to Pink Root disease and it has also shown some partial resistance to Downy Mildew and other foliar diseases compared to many other Short Day varieties of its type. It has a sweet flavour with good firmness and storage ability for this type of onion
