Sirius is a versatile, mid maturity, Short Day yellow onion. This variety has large globe-shaped bulbs with good skin retention and excellent yield potential. It has a mild flavour with good firmness and storage ability for this type of onion. In the field, it has shown superior intermediate resistance to Downy Mildew compared to many other Short Day varieties. This is a vigorous growing variety, which gives it a wide latitude adaption.
