What are Cookies and how do we use them?

Enza Zaden uses cookies on its website. A cookie is a small text file sent with pages of a website and stored by your browser on the hard disk of your computer, smartphone or tablet. 

Cookies help Enza Zaden optimise your visit to our website. Your privacy and the user-friendliness of our website are of paramount importance. We cannot identify from the cookies who is visiting our website. We think it is important that you know which cookies our website uses and for which purposes.

When you visit our website for the first time, you will see a pop-up that states that if you continue to visit the website you agree to the placement of cookies on your computer. We use a cookie that registers that you have given this permission. 

Functional cookies

These are cookies that are technically required for the operation of the Enza Zaden website. They relate to information that must be stored in order for the website to operate properly.

Analytical cookies

Cookies are placed via our website by the companies Google and Sitecore as part of their services. We use these services to monitor and receive reports on how visitors use our website. Google and Sitecore place cookies to obtain the following information:

  • how often a visitor has visited our web pages and when (these cookies expire two years after placement)
  • to monitor from which other site a visitor has arrived, which device was used (desktop, mobile or tablet ) which search engine was used, which link was clicked, which keyword was used and the region you were in when you accessed the website (these cookies expire six months after placement).

We use the following Google statistical tools, Google Analyticals, Google Tag Manager (to allocte pixels)and Google Data Studio. These cookies are kept for 90 days at the most. Google uses this information to keep track of how you use our website. Google may provide this information to third parties if it is under a legal dutyto do so or if third parties process the information on behalf of Google. Google may us ethe statistical information it has obtained for it's other services. Sitecore does not have access to the data.

Advertisement Cookies - Remarketing Cookies

Enza zaden uses Google adwords and Google adwords Remarketing/Doubleclick remarketing cookies to offer advertisements on third party websites (including Google) to previous visitors of our website. This may be done through an advertisement in Google search results or an advetisement on one of the websites affiliated with the Google Display Network. These cookies are kept for 90 days at the most.

Session cookies

Enza Zaden uses session cookies that make the online behaviour of visitors of our website transparent in order to adjust our services to them. These cookies are automatically removed once you have ended your internet visit.

Social media

Our website includes buttons to promote or share web pages on social networks and platforms such as Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and Facebook. These buttons work through pieces of code that originate from these networks and platforms. Cookies are placed by means of this code. Enza Zaden cannot control this.

Removing and blocking cookies
